The 5th Biennial National Conference on Health and Domestic Violence aims to advance the health care system's response to domestic violence. The conference attracts the nation's leading medical, public health and family violence experts from across the U.S. with increased international participation. Workshops, poster presentations, and plenary sessions highlight the latest research and most innovative clinical responses to domestic violence, with a focus on the work being done by physicians, physician assistants, dentists, nurses, nurse midwives, mental and behavioral health providers, social workers, domestic violence experts, and others. The Conference includes local and national exhibitors. The Conference is primarily funded by the Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Conference Attendees
The Family Violence Prevention Fund’s National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The FVPF takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this activity.

Continuing dental education units are provided through the IHS Division of Oral Health, an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

The conference is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (provider #886359358) for 18 continuing education contact hours.

The conference is approved by the Louisiana State Nurses Association (LSNA), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, for a maximum of 18 contact hours of continuing nursing education

The Family Violence Prevention Fund is pursing continuing education units for psychologists.

Participants may register for only the pre-conference institutes on Oct. 8th, or the 2-Day conference on Oct. 9-10th, or for participation in both.

Pre-Conference Institute Registration Fees

Half Day Course = select two $150

Full Day Course = $150

There is no fee to attend the Health Professional Students and Campus Activism 5:30pm-7:30pm institute

CEU fees for the Pre-Conference Institutes and the 2-day Conference is a one-time $50 fee.

Office on Violence Against Women grantees may use funds to attend with approval from their program specialist.
